❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Wizard Image.

General

Is Wizard Image free to use?
Yes, completely free. All 50+ tools are available with no account, no subscription, and no hidden fees. We don't even require you to sign up. The service is sustained through non-intrusive advertising.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Wizard Image requires no registration, no email address, and no personal information. Simply visit any tool page, upload your image, and download the result. It's completely anonymous.
Can I use the tools on mobile?
Yes. The interface is fully responsive and works on smartphones and tablets. File upload and drag & drop are supported on mobile browsers. The layout adapts to smaller screens automatically.
How many images can I process?
There is no limit on the number of images you can process. Use the tools as many times as you need. Each image is processed independently.

Privacy & Security

Are my images stored on your servers?
Images are processed server-side and deleted automatically after 1 hour. We never store, analyse, or share your files. Processing is ephemeral — once you download your result, the source and output files are scheduled for deletion.
Do you use my images for AI training?
No. Your images are never used for training machine learning or AI models. They are used exclusively to perform the specific operation you requested and are deleted afterwards.
Do you use analytics or tracking?
No. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking services. The only third-party services on the site are Google Fonts (for typography) and Google AdSense (for advertising).
Is it safe to upload sensitive images?
We take your privacy seriously. All uploads are transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit), processed in memory, and deleted within 1 hour. However, as with any online service, we recommend not uploading highly confidential or classified documents if that is a concern for your organisation.

File Formats & Limits

What file formats are supported?
Most tools accept PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, and TIFF. Video tools accept MP4, WebM, AVI, and MOV. The accepted formats are listed on each tool page.
What is the maximum file size?
The maximum upload size is 100 MB per file. For animated GIFs and video conversions we recommend keeping source files under 50 MB for best performance.
Can I process multiple images at once?
Some tools support multiple files — the GIF Maker and Image Collage accept multiple images. Most other tools process one image at a time for simplicity and reliability.
Which image format should I use?
WebP is the best all-round format for web use — it offers great compression, transparency, and broad browser support. Use PNG for lossless quality and transparency, JPG for photographs, and AVIF for maximum compression on supported browsers. Read our format comparison guide for more detail.

Processing

Why does GIF/video processing take longer?
GIF creation and video-to-GIF conversion require FFmpeg to process every frame. Depending on the duration, FPS, and resolution this can take 10–60 seconds. Please be patient — the spinner will disappear when it's done.
Is the image quality affected by processing?
It depends on the tool. Lossless operations (flip, rotate 90°, grayscale, crop, trim, metadata) preserve quality perfectly. Lossy operations (compress at lower quality, convert to JPG) involve a quality/size trade-off that you control via the quality slider.
Why did my image come out with a different file size?
Processing can increase or decrease file size depending on the operation. Compression reduces size; adding noise or sharpening tends to increase it. The output format also matters — WebP is typically smaller than PNG, for example.

Technical

Do you have an API?
Not publicly at the moment. The backend is built with Node.js and Express — all endpoints are standard REST POST routes. If you're a developer interested in an API, feel free to reach out via the About & Contacts page.
What technology processes the images?
Images are processed using Sharp (powered by libvips), one of the fastest image processing libraries available. Video and GIF operations use FFmpeg, the industry-standard multimedia processing engine.
Something broke — what do I do?
Try refreshing the page and re-uploading your file. If the problem persists, contact us via the About & Contacts page with a description of what went wrong and we'll look into it.
